Handling Late Members

Handling Late Members

In DreamSave, it's essential to know how to effectively manage late members during group meetings. In this article, we'll provide you with a straightforward, step-by-step guide on how to handle late members in a meeting scenario. Participation of Late Members in meetings falls into two categories: full absence or representation by a designated participant.

Handling Late Members with Representatives

  1. Change Attendance Status
    1.  Go to the "Attendance" section while being in a meeting.
    2. Locate in the list of members the late member, and change their attendance status to "Absent with Representative."
  2. Update Savings Contribution
    1. Return to the "Savings" section.
    2. Make sure to record the late member's savings contribution for the meeting.
  3. Apply Fine (Optional)
    1. Navigate to the "Fines" section.
    2. Choose the late member from the list of members.
    3. Enter the fine amount and select the reason as "Late".
Info
Fine & Loan Policy may differ based on the Group Constitution. Discuss with your group members first before imposing the fine (or disbursing the loan) on the late member
Alert
Please note that members with representatives are ineligible to request loan disbursements; their participation is only limited to adding their savings contribution.

Handling Late Members with no Representatives

  1. Change Attendance Status
    1.  Go to the "Attendance" section while being in a meeting.
    2. Locate in the list of members the late member, and change their attendance status to "Present".
  4. Disburse a Loan
    1.  Lastly, go to the "New Loans" section.
    2. Disburse a loan to the late member as per their request.
Alert
Do keep in mind that if your group doesn't go back to the "Attendance" step and change the late member's status to "Present", they will not be able to register their savings or take a loan during that meeting.
